About Gainesville Reads:
Gainesville Reads is a month-long, citywide reading festival hosted by The Lynx Books. Each year, the festival builds a wide array of programming around a single book, encouraging as many people as possible to read and engage with it. This year's book is WE’RE ALONE by Haitian-American author Edwidge Danticat, an essay collection that explores immigration, incarceration, displacement, gun violence, and resilience, issues deeply relevant both locally and nationally.
